Rocket League
Rocket League is a 3rd person, rocket-car - football, hockey and basketball online game, where you drive and fly around a closed field. It is very important with teamplay where rotation and a good understanding of how the ball or puck's behaviour is and to read opponents move so you can do a move quicker than them. Its the most fun I have ever had in a game ever, and I can not get enough of it. No games are the same, and you meet all kind of different players, and I have come in contact with houndreds of people all around the world in this game, and some of them I consider just as good friends as my real friends.
Snow Day
in 2015 Rocket League came out with Snow Day, which is a Hockey game-mode. Me and my classmates started playing it and we absolutely loved it and played daily until Psyonix removed it again because it was not meant to be a real game mode. I had already come in contact with alot of other players that loved the game mode as well and some started a petition to demand its return.
"We had no inkling that there would be this weirdly devoted sub-set of players that only play Snow Day," says game director Corey Davis in Noclip's Rocket League documentary. "It's a very hardcore couple thousand people. That's all they do." They actually listened to us, and returned the game-mode.
There are usually around 150 000 players playing Soccar, and only around 1000 are playing snow day regurarly. The reason for that is mainly because of its different physics, and there is no ranked system yet. But yea, the playerbase in Snow Day are small, but very much active. Since we are so few players we meet the same players every once in a while and we made a community which is the loveliest community I have ever been a part of. We communicate on discord daily and most of us are very friendly and almost every game is a blast. Lots of fun!

RHL
Someone took it upon themself to create a tournament for Snow Day Players and they called it Rocket Hockey League (RHL) which is a long term tournament that goes on yearly. We are about 20 teams both in America and Europe (because the servers goes along well enough to crossplay without too much ping). Here is a link to the RHL Discord channel: https://discord.gg/sKRaxHj
